Pennies for Children's Hospital

The student council is hosting its first annual Penny Wars as a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Heres how it works, pennies count as positive points and all other forms of currency count as negative points.  Put  pennies in your class container and sabotage the other classes by tossing nickles, dimes, quarters, even dollar bills into theirs.  Class donation containers are located outside the high school office.  The class who has the highest point value at the end of the fundraiser will receive their winter Olympic t-shirts at a discounted rate.

Looks like the juniors are the ones to beat!

9/11 Project A Success

CV high school students, faculty, and staff came together to make our "towers of food" drive a success.

Ten days ago, an empty desk sat in the high school lobby.  Today that desk holds almost 400 canned and dry goods ready to make their way to local families in need.

Thanks to all who contributed.  Together, we are strong!  Together, we make a difference.

Go Warriors!

Remembering 9/11 with an act of kindness

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
In honor of the 10th anniversary of  9/11, CV students are counteracting the act of terror with an act of kindness.  For ten days, we will be collecting canned and dry goods in an attempt to build twin towers of food.  The drive ends Friday, September 16th and all items donated will be taken to a local food bank.

We're off to a good start.  Let's see how high we can go!

Welcome Back CV

It's that time again...
Time to trade in our flipflops for backpacks...
and swimming pools for football fields.

Lockers have been assigned...

Freshmen oriented...
Schedules adjusted...

And through it all, Mo and Lisa keep smiling!
